If anyone cares to have an update on what originally happened to this idea. I came accross some money, bought an SF detachment HQ, a Field Hospital and a Tatical Centre and built them into a might "Fort Leviathen"

Hehe, I think Leviathen has the right idea. Yes, it takes more effort but it's the only real way to get the rebel numbers down and give you an advantage.

True, blowing things up is better in the long run, but placing and destroying are a good mix.

Definatly, an essential mix. Maybe RID should do something like every week pick a base. Assess its defenses, forumulate a plan and attack it every week, same time. Its effecient and practical I think.
