Battlefield Tips and Tricks

Massassi Isle
  • Go after the Small Rebel bases first and hang back between your three bases and defend. This will draw their forces out so the base capper you sent out can double back and hit the North Rebel base.
  • When entering the North Rebel base (assuming you didn't draw them outside), use the Ramp as often as you can. Going through the main door, with the LoS issues, can mean certain death for some of your squishier teammates against experienced Rebels.
  • If you're capturing their Smalls, and they've already captured yours, when you send someone in to capture it, make sure the remaining team members stay outside the base. The AoE generated from the Rebel Commandos' attacks will break the cap for you otherwise.

Jungle Warfare
  • Send someone after their smalls initially. Remaining team should work on capturing Central Base.
  • If you wipe, and lose the initial charge, you should have the smalls by then.
  • If you lose the initial charge, the first member or two back should rush back to the base and harassment the Rebels in the base, attempting to break the capture. Ideally this would be a Commando or DSJ, as both have high DPS and enough defense to stay alive while the rest of the team can regroup.
  • Some of the tips from Massassi are also helpful.
Bunker Assault
  • Similar to Jungle Warfare--if you wipe and lose the initial charge, send in DSJ, Commandos, or Spies to harass the other team breaking their cap until your team can reinforce.
  • Once the main room is secure, to prevent the LoS issues, defend outside the base and keep an eye on their location directly (since the base is on a hill overlooking both bases).
Data Runner
  • Focus fire on the Data Runners first and then the squishies.
  • Stick together as a team when you have the Data.
  • Pay close attention to 'Terminal Being Captured'. There are four on the map--two close to each base and two more in the corners of the map. Be ready to move when it changes.

General Advice
  • Don't listen to the l33t PvPers--common sense (and experience) determines the victor, not GCW Kills.
  • Pay attention to which bases and how many have been captured. If necessary, use /bat to help you out.
  • If you have a good Medic, protect him at all costs. (If he's a bad Medic, then he's on his own.) A Medic or Officer should never be the ones capturing the Small Bases. Their job is Support. They need to stick with the main group.
  • From Zachris: Assign a Commando to defend your Medic. Anyone sent to attack your Medic (PW Smugglers) will be dropped before they know what hit them.
  • Lexx always goes in first. Always.
